BE THE CHURCH FOR HAITI  There will be two opportunities for us to raise money to help purchase school books, backpacks and uniforms for kids in Haiti to whom we have ministered over the years.
Wash n Worship – Due to the forecast of rain all day, beginning mid-morning, we are postponing the car wash to next Sunday, September 3rd, 9 am – noon.  Bring your vehicle dirty and let the RED students wash it. 100% of whatever you donate for their work will go to the Haiti school fund.
Community Garage Sale - On Saturday, September 9th, the women of Westwood will sponsor a garage sale at Diane Bonanno’s home.  Please contact Diane, Carol Rich or Amy Cook if you have items to donate.  100% of funds raised will go to the Haiti school fund.

MINISTRY ACTION TEAMS  Thank you to all who have committed to serve on the International Ministries MAT!  That team is ready to go, under the leadership of Matt Kelly.  We are still looking for those who would be willing to lead, or serve on, the Facilities MAT and the Stewardship MAT.  Please contact the office if you think these ministry opportunities might be a fit for you.

STUDENT MINISTRY DIRECTOR SEARCH  Our Search Committee is hard at work.  We anticipate having someone come for a candidating weekend within the next month or so.  Please be praying diligently for the Search Committee and for the candidates as we look for the person God is calling to join us in the work He has given us to do among the students in West Orlando.

CHURCH-WIDE WORK DAY  We’re giving you a whole month’s notice on this one, so there should be no excuses.  Our facility is in desperate need of some tender loving care – and cleaning, organizing, rearranging, etc.  We can use everyone’s help!  Please mark your calendar for Saturday, September 28, and join us between 8:30 am and 12:30 pm.  Continental breakfast served at 8 am; lunch served when we finish working at 12:30.
