*SED CONFERENCE *All staff will be at the SED conference Monday September 15th - Wednesday, September 17th. Modified office hours will be covered by volunteers in their absence. Elders and the CARE12twenty4 Team will be available should needs arise. Please use the regular church phone line (407.295.4381) and, if you are unable to reach someone, leave a message on extension 13 for any emergencies.

*RED FALL RETREAT *The Student Ministry leadership team is planning a fall retreat for all RED students to be held at Lake Swan Camp, October 24-26th. The cost for this retreat will be $100/person, which will include lodging, meals, transportation and a T-shirt. Our goal is for students to raise 1/3 of the cost, parents to contribute 1/3, and Westwood fund-raisers to cover the final 1/3. Registration forms will be available from RED sponsors soon. Students and parents, begin setting aside your nickels, dimes, quarters and dollars now.

*ON-PROPERTY CAR WASH *The first RED fund raiser will be a car wash to be held during the Sunday morning service on September 21st. You can park your dirty car, van or truck on the lot right behind the building when you arrive for your group or the worship service, and pick up your sparkling clean vehicle as soon as service is over. Suggested donation is $10/vehicle. For a slightly higher donation, you can request the inside of your vehicle be detailed as well.

*catch up to THE STORY *We have started The Story journey which began with last week’s message on Creation. You can catch up by purchasing your books at the table in the lobby. There are books for adults, students, kids (8-12), children(5-7) and little ones (0-4). It is recommended that adults, students and kids each have their own book. The Story for Children and The Story for Little Ones are intended to be read to the younger ones, so one book per family is sufficient. Remember, adults and students have the option of purchasing the ebook of their version of The Story through amazon.com or christianbook.com. Daily reading guides are available at the Information Desk – green for adults & teens; purple for kids.

*THE STORY SMALL GROUPS *All Westwood Small Groups have embarked on The Story journey together for the next 31-weeks (September-November and January-May, with a break in December). It is not too late to join a small group which meets to discuss the week’s message and reading. In the lobby you will see a large calendar with leaders names on YELLOW post- it-notes. Pick a group/ time, put your name(s) and time on a PINK post-it-note, and stick it on the leader’s yellow note. Call the church office 407-295-4381 if you need to get plugged into a small group. We are anticipating your enthusiastic participation!
