SECOND WEDNESDAY Join us as the entire Body gathers for prayer this week – Wednesday, July 12th, at 7 pm. Prayer really matters for us personally, for our Church Body, for our city, our country, our world!
INTERNATIONAL MINISTRIES MAT We are pleased to announce that Matt Kelly has agreed to lead the International Ministries Ministry Action Team, whose purpose is to keep us as a Body, informed about, and focused on the work of spreading the Gospel throughout the world – through the Christian & Missionary Alliance and through other
individuals/ministries in whom Westwood is regularly investing financial support. Matt is in the process of building a team. If you are passionate about missions, or interested in learning more & participating, indicate International Ministries on your Communication Card or contact Matt directly.
CELEBRATING LIFE All women and teen girls are encouraged to join us next Sunday, July 16th, at 3:30 pm for a Baby Shower. Cathy Sullivan advocated for a teen mom (17 years old) at Choices Clinic last November, who made the very difficult and brave choice to have and keep her baby. She needs, and will continue to need help, support and encouragement. You are invited to participate by celebrating baby Isaiah’s life with her. She needs baby furniture and supplies, stroller and car seat, clothing and diapers. We plan to shop for the bigger items, so if you want to contribute cash rather than go shopping, just mark “baby shower” on your Offering Envelope. RSVP to Cathy if you can attend.
CHILDREN’S MINISTRY ANNUAL SUMMER SPLASH Save the Date of Sunday, July 30th (immediately following the worship service). If you are a regular or occasional volunteer in Children’s Ministry, we are throwing you a splash party to let you know how greatly appreciated you are! We’ll swim in the pool at the Reflections subdivision (next door to Pastor Dan’s house). Lunch will be served. The only thing you need to bring is yourself and your swimsuit.
