Haiti Missions trip - June 19-23 *A group of about 15 *RED students, Pastor Dan, and some additional families are headed to Haiti in a couple of months to join No Child Hungry in their ministry to orphans. Estimated cost is $1,000/person. Fund-raising is underway, and donations are being accepted to help underwrite the cost of the trip. Mark your offering envelope “Haiti Missions” if you would like to contribute.

*CAR WASH FUND-RAISER *The next fund-raising event for the RED students will be a car wash behind the McDonald’s at the corner of Clarke & Silver Star Roads, this coming Saturday, May 9th, 10 am – 3 pm. They will be washing and detailing cars, trucks, vans, motorcycles, etc. – if you can drive it in, they’ll wash it! Donations will be received in exchange for a sparkling clean vehicle. If you want to have your car in good order when you take Mom out for Mother’s Day, come on by!

*VBS – JULY 20-24, 9 AM – 12 NOON *It's that of year again. VBS is in the making. Mark your calendars and gear up for a fun trip. We are headed to Camp Kilimanjaro. We will soon be asking for volunteers to help guide our children through this jungle safari, so check your calendars, and get ready to be a part of this fantastic journey. Camp Kilimanjaro coming soon!

*HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JAMES LENNON! *Next Saturday, May 9, will be James Lennon’s 80th birthday. Be sure to greet James this morning, and join us for a brief celebration and birthday cake in the lobby, immediately following this morning’s service. Also, please keep James in your prayers as he undergoes skin cancer surgery this coming Wednesday. James so faithfully prays for all of us. Let’s be as faithful in praying for him!

*QUARTERLY CHOIR *Since everyone so enjoyed the choir on Easter Sunday, we are planning to include a choir in our worship service once each quarter. The next choir Sunday will be May 31st.
