SPAGHETTI MUNCH FUNDRAISER FOR PASSION CAMP - RED students will attend Passion Camp in Daytona Beach in June. As a fundraiser, they will hold a spaghetti MUNCH immediately following service on Sunday, April 15th. Tickets will be $10 for adults; $5 for children 12 and under. Come enjoy the fellowship and a great homemade spaghetti meal, and help our kids get to camp. And, of course, if you can help with scholarships, please indicate “RED Retreat” on the Other line on your envelope, and put it in the offering. All funds will be distributed among the students as needed. (The car wash has been postponed. Watch for details in coming weeks.)
RED PRAYER INITIATIVE - Everyone is invited to join us as we gather to pray for our students, sponsors, and all of student ministry. We’ll meet at 4 pm today, at the Johnsons’ (4418 Oakton Dr – right across the street in Country Run). Please bring a snack and/or drinks to share.
SOAPING WEEKLY - In order to prepare your spirit for the message each week, S.O.A.P. through a passage (read the Scripture, make your Observation, find a specific Application, and write a Prayer) in advance of Sunday service. Suggested SOAPing Scripture passages for April are: April 8 – Galatians 4:21-31, April 15 – Galatians 5:1-15.
ANNUAL CONGREGATIONAL MEETING - There will be a brief Congregational Meeting immediately following the worship service for the purpose of electing Elders and approving the 2018-2019 budget. All members should plan to stay, and sit in the front center section. If you are not a member, but are interested in the ongoing ministry of Westwood Church, please stay, and feel free to ask questions. The meeting will start about 5 minutes after the worship service concludes.
GOOD FRIDAY PRAYER EXPERIENCE - Join us this Friday, March 30th, at 7:00 pm, as we pray, worship together, and contemplate the sacrifice of the Savior for us. Adults will gather in the sanctuary, and kids in the Reign Forest. The service should last about an hour.
EASTER EGG HUNT - There will be an Easter Egg Hunt this coming Saturday, March 31st, at 10 am. All grade school aged children are encouraged to come and invite friends. You can help by donating candy and small toys to fill gift bags to be given away at the Easter Egg Hunt, Small toys should be Easter/Christian in nature (not Easter Bunny please) or generic tiny stuffed animals and such. If you forgot your items today, please make arrangements with Donna Rodgers to bring them by the office this week. Adults and students who can help with the egg hunt, please sign up at the information desk in the lobby. And, everyone, please pray that the kids and families from Prairie Lake Elementary will come!
