VETERAN’S DAY On this Veteran’s Day weekend we want to recognize and honor all of our veterans who sacrificed to serve in the US armed forces, to secure the freedoms we all enjoy!

THANKSGIVING BASKETS If you haven’t yet, please bring your items early this week. We will need to purchase any missing items. We will assemble the baskets next Sunday, November 20th, and distribute them to families from Prairie Lake Elementary School on Tuesday & Wednesday, the 22nd & 23rd.

FOOD PACKING FOR HAITI, NOVEMBER 19TH On Saturday, November 19th, beginning at 9:00 am, we will do a food-packing event here at Westwood for those whose lives were devastated by Hurricane Matthew on October 4th. Take an envelope and ask family members, neighbors, co-workers & schoolmates to contribute along with you as we work together to meet this great need! Please indicate on your Communication Card if you want to be part of the packing team on Saturday.

TODAY AFTER THE SERVICE: MUNCH Stay and have lunch with the church family. Even if you didn’t bring a pot of soup to share, we will have enough for all. This is a good time to fellowship with the family.

LET’S BE THE CHURCH FOR OSFCA Led by our Children’s Ministry Team, we are partnering with the Orange and Seminole Foster Care Association, collecting items to help with the transition and placement of children in the Foster Care system. If you did not receive the flyer with the list of needed items, some are still available on the back table. Please purchase whatever items you can, and place them in the bin in the lobby, as we commit to be The Church for these little ones who are in great need of the very basic necessities of life.

COMMUNITY GROUP LEADER TRAINING Immediately following the service, next Sunday, November 20th, all current community group leaders, as well as anyone currently participating in a group or interested in joining a group is encouraged to stay after service to be challenged and motivated regarding our Community Groups ministry and purpose. Note on your Communication Card, or contact Pastor Tom if you are planning to come so that we can plan appropriately for lunch, child care, etc.
