We welcome you to get involved at Westwood Church. Whether it is worshiping with us on a Sunday morning, becoming part of one of our Life Groups or participating in one of our ministries throughout the week, all that we do and the ministry opportunities we offer are centered upon the person and work of Jesus Christ.

What to Expect

Let’s face it, going to church anywhere for the first time can be intimidating. All kinds of questions can begin to flood your mind. Like, “What should I wear? How long will the service be? What should I do with my 2nd grader? Will there be music? What kind of music?”

Let’s see if we can’t help you out with some of this…

Westwood Church is totally a “come-as-you-are” place. Do you feel comfortable in a suit and tie? Go for it! T-Shirt and Jeans? You’ll feel at home! We are truly more interested in YOU than we are in what you wear. 

Our worship service generally lasts for 75 minutes. You can expect to hear a dynamic message based on the Bible that will be relevant to your life. Our music is fun and contemporary, but we don’t shy away from doing a traditional hymn now and again. 

Oh, and you are going to want to come early. We have free coffee and bakery treats at our Gathering Grounds Cafe, plus, this is a great chance to meet some new friends. 

Let one of our greeter’s know if you are a first-time guest. We have a gift for you, as well as some information that will help you get acquainted with Westwood.  Oh! and be sure to fill out a connection card so we can properly introduce ourselves.

Westwood Kids

Children will be in the service during the worship time. We think that families worshipping together is a wonderful thing. After the music portion of our service and before the message, your child will be dismissed for Children’s Church and then the fun begins!

God Reigns in our Children’s Ministry program! He leads all that we do so you can be sure that your children will be surrounded by loving, nurturing, Jesus-following adult leaders when they enter the Reign Forest. On your first visit we’ll ask that you complete a registration form with some basic information about your child and family so that we can get to know you. We’ll use that information to enter your family into our church database so that, going forward, we can easily check your child in and out of Sunday school in a user-friendly way through our church app. We welcome you to come on over to the Reign Forest where God Reigns!
