STUDENTS

Our goal is to build a youth ministry that allows students in 6th-12th grade, and their families, to experience their potential in Christ while being filled with the Holy Spirit. Discipleship cannot happen at church only. So our goal is to partner with parents and families as their teens learn to walk with Jesus. “Orange,” is a strategy that cultivates and fuels faith in youth in the present and future. This strategy is bringing yellow (the light of the church) and red (the love of family) together to create “Orange.” We want youth to learn to be and do like Jesus wherever they are. We also strive for Westwood Youth to be a place where students can feel safe and vulnerable to encounter the loving arms of Jesus.

What does it look like?

Currently, we are meeting from 9:00am – 10:00am every Sunday morning in the youth room.  During this time we start off with an ice breaker or game.  We then have a brief time of sharing what is happening in our lives. Finally, we move into scripture and discuss how it applies to life now.

Stay tuned….

We are looking to start up an official Students mid-week meeting starting in August.
